What is Tili?

Tili is a private, manual budgeting app for iPhone. You enter your own transactions, budgets, savings goals, bills, subscriptions, and receipts, and Tili shows your whole month clearly. It does not connect to your bank, does not require an account, and keeps your data on your device.

Does Tili connect to my bank?

No. Tili does not connect to your bank or any financial institution, and it never asks for bank logins. You add transactions yourself, which keeps your financial data private and on your device.

Do I need an account?

No. Tili does not require a TaskDorm or Tili account, and there is no sign-up or login. You just open the app and start budgeting.

Where is my Tili data stored?

Tili is local-first: your entries are stored on your device, not on TaskDorm’s servers. TaskDorm does not receive or store your Tili data. If you choose to export or share something, that copy is handled by the destination you pick.

Does Tili use ads or sell my data?

No. Tili contains no ads, does not sell your information, and does not use your budgeting entries for advertising. It also does not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.

How do subscriptions and the free trial work?

Tili Pro is an optional subscription with a 14-day free trial and a monthly or yearly option, handled through the Apple App Store using your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

What happens if Tili Pro expires?

Tili stays usable as a read-only app. You can still open, view, export, and delete all of your existing data at any time. Creating and editing new records requires an active subscription or free trial, but you are never locked out of the data you already entered.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you reinstall Tili or set up a new iPhone, open Tili’s settings and use Restore Purchases, or make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID, so your access returns once it is restored.

How do I export my data?

You can export your information, such as a spreadsheet of your transactions or a reimbursement packet for an FSA or HSA plan. You choose what to export and where to send it, and export stays available even if your subscription ends.

Is Tili financial advice?

No. Tili is an organization tool, not financial, tax, legal, accounting, medical, or reimbursement advice. It helps you see and organize your own numbers, and you should review important details before relying on them.

What does Tili do with receipts?

Tili can store receipt images and use on-device text recognition to help read details from a receipt. Receipt images and recognized text stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Can Tili help with FSA or HSA reimbursement?

Yes, for organizing. Tili can keep receipts with your records, gather potentially relevant FSA and HSA details in one place, and help you prepare a reimbursement packet to review before you share it. Tili does not decide eligibility, submit claims, or guarantee reimbursement, so always check your plan’s requirements.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Because your data is stored on your device, you can delete individual entries in the app, use Clear All to remove local app data, or delete the app. TaskDorm cannot restore data that exists only on your device, so export a copy first if you want to keep it.
